Terms of Service

1. Software License

Annotate grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the software on your compatible macOS or Windows computers in accordance with your purchase tier.

• Personal License: Allowed for personal, non-commercial use on up to 2 personal devices.
• Commercial License: Allowed for commercial, professional, and corporate use on up to 5 devices owned or operated by the license holder.

2. Usage Restrictions

You agree not to, and you will not permit others to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of the application.
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the application.
• Distribute, resell, rent, lease, lend, or sublicense the application to any third party.
• Bypass or disable any digital rights management, licensing verification, or security features.

3. Lifetime Purchases & Updates

Lifetime purchases grant you perpetual access to the current major version of the application and all subsequent point releases. Major version updates (e.g., upgrading from v1.x to v2.x) may be subject to separate upgrade pricing.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

Annotate is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all third-party software or screen recording tools.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Annotate be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising out of your use or inability to use the software, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.
